Who is Jesus Christ?

Perhaps you have landed on this site, and you are wondering what all the fuss is about. Allow me a few minutes to share some essential information with you that could forever change your life. It changed my life, and it could change your life too. Will you stick around for a few minutes?

Who is Jesus Christ?

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, our Heavenly Father. Now, I know some people don’t have the most cherished remembrances of their earthly fathers growing up. Some don’t have any remembrance of their earthly father at all, so the idea of having a Heavenly Father seems foreign or unattractive to them. But can I suggest something to you? God, our Heavenly Father, is far more than any earthly father could be. God gave far more than any earthly father could give, and He still does today.

You’re probably asking yourself right now, “But I thought this was about Jesus Christ?”

It is, stay with me a little longer.

God, our Heavenly Father, sent his Son, Jesus, to the earth over 2000 years ago. Jesus lived on the earth as a man and experienced all the things the people of his time experienced. We experience those same things today. Jesus was born of a virgin named Mary in Bethlehem and, at the age of 12, started teaching in the synagogue. At the age of 30, Jesus started traveling around and ministering to the people. Jesus performed many signs, wonders, and miracles right in front of people, and He taught twelve men and trained them to be His disciples.

This same Jesus is the one, who at 33 years old, was crucified on a cross. Jesus died on the cross as an atoning sacrifice for our sin. In other words, He took on all the ugliness of this world, even though He was sinless. He took all that onto himself on the cross at Calvary and shed His blood for you and me.

Why?

Your next question might be something like this, “Why did he do that for me, for us? He doesn’t even know me. I wasn’t born yet.”

Can I tell you why?

Jesus did that because He loves us. He did that because God, His Father, sent Him to us so that we might believe in Him and be saved so we can have eternal life with our Heavenly Father in heaven.

The price was paid for you and me.

Jesus Christ paid the penalty for our sins, and the question I have for you is this – Do you believe Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sin?

I don’t know if you have noticed, but there are lots of things happening in the world today.  You can have hope no matter what this world dishes out when you accept Jesus Christ into your heart.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ

1 Corinthians 15:3-4, “For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,”

Without Jesus, we go to hell when we die. Hell is a real place full of pain and torment, and eternal separation from God.

Where would you rather spend eternity? In heaven with a Heavenly Father who loves you enough to send his one and only Son to die for your sin, or hell, where you will spend eternity suffering? The choice is yours, friend.
