The Doctrine of Man
Where did we come from? Who are we? What’s our destiny?
In this session, we will look at the following topics reference the doctrine of man:
- Origin
- Nature
- Distinctiveness
- Destiny
“Man’s purpose is to “know God and enjoy Him forever.” Man was created in perfect fellowship and harmony with God, in His image. This does not mean physical likeness, for God does not have a physical body. But it means in the psychological, emotional, and spiritual likeness of God.”
“And God created man in his own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” Genesis 1:27
About five years ago, I traveled to Kentucky to see the Ark, Noah’s Ark. What a sight to behold. In a deserted field, a few miles off the main highway, sat a wooden boat the size of a cruise ship. No joke! If you have never been to Florence, Kentucky, to see the Ark, you need to put that on your calendar.
The other place we visited was the Creation Museum, located about a half-hour north of the Ark. The tour of the Creation Museum was terrific, and I learned so many things. It reaffirms my faith and answers a lot of little questions. Add the Creation Museum to your list of travel destinations. I think you will enjoy them both.
Enough reminiscing about some of my favorite travel destinations.
Let’s dive into session #26 and see what the author, Max Anders, says.
Blessings to you and your family.
