30 Days to Understanding the Bible – Doctrine of Salvation
The doctrine of salvation is discussed in today’s video lesson. There’s a lot we can learn about ourselves in this lesson.
We’re down to three more sessions in this book. I hope you walk away with a better understanding of the Bible.
The salvation of man? What does that mean for you and me?
We cannot earn our salvation. We are imperfect beings, flawed, a mess; you name it, we are it.
In other words, not perfect. And because of these imperfections, we need a Savior. God demands perfection, so all we can do is cast ourselves on God’s mercy. Our loving God, in His mercy, has offered you and me forgiveness of our sin, and along with it, we get a new nature of holiness so that we can live in right relationship with Him.
What I love about the Lord is He didn’t dismiss our imperfections but provided a solution. That solution? Jesus Christ.
However, God’s offer has one condition – that we believe in His Son, Jesus Christ, as our Savior and Lord.
Romans 10:9 says, “9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
It’s a heart thing. It’s an action thing.
Believe with your heart.
Confess with your mouth.
Salvation requires us to participate.
I hope you will tune in. This book has been a fascinating study.
