We All Have a Story
I read a meme on social media once that said, “If I have to carry my god around with me everywhere I go, then he isn’t going to do me any good.”
Friend, my God carries me. Whatever you are going through, rest assured God is in control.
This devotional book isn’t about the latest fads, diet plans, TikTok videos, or what’s happening on the internet. This is about something far more significant – the hand of God in a sinner’s life. It is about inventory. It’s about a relationship.
Most of us are familiar with inventory and relationships. Taking an inventory tells us what we have. Relationships involve past or present love, family, friends, coworkers, and the Lord.
But have you ever thought about your spiritual inventory? What does a spiritual inventory look like?
We all have a story to share. We all have one thing or multiple things God has done or is doing in our lives that if shared could help others grow closer to the Lord.
Your story may feel insignificant. You may be comparing yourself to a celebrity, coworker, relative, or friend and think nothing you have experienced or accomplished is as good as theirs.
The Bible is full of stories of men and women the Lord used mightily to accomplish his purposes. Many of those people were unskilled, unprepared, and uneducated.
I’m reminded of how educated the Jewish leaders and Pharisees were, yet despite all the miracles Jesus did in their presence, they still missed the point and wanted to kill him.
My prayer is that by the time you finish this devotional, you too will take a spiritual inventory.
I have been praying the Lord would use this devotional mightily to bring himself glory. I have also prayed the Lord would show himself to you and as a result, you too would grow closer to him each day.
It is an exciting time to be alive.
