Amidst all the election chaos, many are feeling frustrated and down. Scan social media for an hour, and you’ll see the back and forth between the two sides. Celebrations abound for the Biden team as the Trump team takes it to court.
Here’s what I think – only the Lord knows what happened and what will happen with the final outcome of this election. Time will tell. And so we wait and wait some more.
Loved one, if you are a Christian, remember whose child you are. You are a child of God. You also need to remember something else – God loves you. However this election ends up after all the legal challenges are finalized, no matter what side you’re on, we must never forget what Jesus said in Matthew 28.
Matthew 28:18-20 says this:
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
What am I saying?
Whether it’s Trump or Biden on January 20, 2021, one mission will never change, and that is sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. People need to know the good news of the gospel and that God loves them.
God loves us so much that he gave his one and only son so that whoever believes in him would not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
Have you ever experienced that type of love from someone else?
I haven’t, and truth be told, love relationships have been a bust my whole life. So I cling to the cross of Christ, the only true love relationship that has never let me down, lied, or cheated. The love I feel in my heart for the Lord grows more each day.
On my wall hangs a wood sign that says, “I have found the One who my soul Loves.”
Have you?
The soul love I refer to doesn’t come from someone sitting in the White House or any house on earth. My soul loves the one whose home is in heaven and whose Spirit lives in me. God loves me.
So each day, whether a red guy or blue guy occupies the White House, my mission is still Jesus. Truly, he is the only one who can save this country and the world.
