The Doctrine of Christ is our topic for today in session #23 from our reading material titled, “30 Days to Understanding the Bible,” by Max Anders. I don’t know about you, but this has been a fascinating study thus far. I have learned so many things. Little things go a long way in my world. When it comes to Jesus Christ, there is nothing small. He is my world, and I am learning to grow closer to him every day. There are days I fall down, but I try and get back up just as quickly.
In this session on the doctrine of Christ, we will look at four main subjects reference Christ.
- Deity: Jesus of Nazareth was God incarnate.
- Humanity: Christ was a man, Jesus of Nazareth.
- Resurrection: After being killed, Jesus was raised to life again.
- Return: Jesus will return to earth sometime in the future.
“The position of the Bible is straightforward in presenting Jesus as divine, the Son of God, the second person of the Trinity. He is fully man and fully God. If He were not man, He could not have died for our sins, and if He were not God, His death would have accomplished nothing.”
“To understand the Bible’s position on Jesus, it must be grasped that Jesus is presented as the Messiah, the Savior of the world who was prophesied throughout the Old Testament, who would come to die for the sins of the world and who would come again to establish righteousness in a new heaven and new earth.”
I am so thankful for Jesus Christ. I hope you are too.
Blessings to you as you watch the video.
