30 Days to Understanding the Bible – Holy Spirit

30 Days to Understanding the Bible – Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is part of the trinity.

Here are some brief notes from our study guide.

  1. Personality
  2. Deity
  3. Salvation
  4. Gifts

A further consideration for our topic of discussion:

  1. Conviction
  2. Regeneration
  3. Indwelling
  4. Baptism
  5. Sealing

“We must not become discouraged if our results are meager, and we must not become inflated if our results are meager, and we must not become inflated if our results are abundant. For in the true exercise of spirituals gifts, it is God who produces the results, whether meager or abundant.”

The critical thing to remember is the power that works in us is the Holy Spirit of God. It is God who works in and through us. The power is here, but how do we use it?

There are three tools for practical use – God’s Word, prayer, and suffering. Please do not discount the power of the Holy Spirit of God to work in and through us. He can do great and mighty things.

Ephesians 4:30 “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.”

1 Corinthians 12:13, “For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.

Central passage: “Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit…But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills.” 1 Corinthians 12:4, 11

Let’s look at our material and see what we can learn.
