Do The Math And You Will See More Clearly

Totals. Votes. Counts. Recounts. Legal. Illegal. Fraud. You name it. We have been flooded with all kinds of descriptive terms in the last few weeks, which is understandable.  A lot is riding on the final outcome of the 2020 election, as seen from both sides of the aisle. If the math is done correctly, we will have the answer.

Can I be honest for a moment?  I believe God is in control, and whoever is supposed to occupy the big house on Pennsylvania Avenue come January will ultimately be who God allows for such a time as this. I am a big picture person, an eternal picture perspective.

Speaking of doing the math

4x / 3c +25b (x of 7) – pie r squared = X

You may know the answer, but I don’t. I never made it past Geometry in the 10th grade, and Algebra in the ninth grade was a horrific experience for me.

But here are some equations I do know the answers to – now. It took me many years to figure this out, but now that I know the answers, I see more clearly than ever before. I like to share them with everyone I meet.

Please insert your name in the equations below.

_____ + Jesus = A fulfilled life

_____ + Jesus = a life like no other

_____ + faith = Jesus filled life

_____ + Jesus = relationship

_____ + Jesus = salvation, forgiveness, redemption, joy, happiness.

You see, Jesus must be part of the equation. Not only is Jesus part of the equation, but Jesus is also part of the answer, if not THE answer. To leave Jesus out of the equation is like leaving milk out of cereal, bees out of honey, green out of grass, fiber out of grain. It simply doesn’t work.

We can leave Jesus out of the equation in life while doing the math, but we will not get the right answer. Furthermore, we will not experience the completeness in our lives that only Jesus can produce.

The Lord Jesus must be part of our life equation. When we do the math, Jesus should be first in our lives. If we make Jesus first, we don’t have to worry about who occupies the house on Pennsylvania Avenue because God is in control.

In case you are reading this and you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, here’s the gospel message in a nutshell that I am passing onto you that was passed onto me. It comes from 1 Corinthians 15:3-4.

“For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,”

Jesus Christ changed my life forever, and I know he can change yours, too, if you let him.

Father, thank you for the simple lesson you gave me today. Lord, you must be part of the equation for us to really get it right. May we be purposeful in our daily calculations. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.

Blessings!
