Jesus Christ – A Little History of the Son
For the last several days, I’ve been sharing some exciting information on Jesus’ birth. When we look at his life, it forces us to ask a variety of questions about him.
Some of those questions might look like this:
“Where will we look for information on Jesus?”
“In what geographical areas did Jesus minister and serve?”
“Is the information in our Gospels historically reliable and trustworthy?”
“How did Jesus’ teaching contribute to the fulfillment of his purpose in the divine plan?
“How do the secular calendars correlate with the events in Jesus’ life?”
Tomorrow, I’ll start taking a look at some of the answers to those questions.
In the meantime, let’s thank God we can ask these questions and that we have a Savior who came to save the world in the form of a baby. It’s this time of year when we remember that most.
Father, thank you for sending your Son to this world in the form of a baby. We get so excited Father at this time of year, but help us to remember that our excitement should be more about celebrating his birth than about the secular aspects of the holiday. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
