Jesus Christ – The Good News
Jesus Christ is good news. It’s excellent news for those who are perishing every day.
John 3:16-17 says,
“16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”
If you have never asked Jesus into your heart to be your Lord and Savior, today can be the day.
My friend, we are not promised tomorrow. If we take a good honest look at the world today, we see many things that are concerning. Some are scary and quite honestly unsettling.
Would you like to have the assurance of where you will spend eternity when you die?
Your physical body will be placed in the ground or burned up. But where will your spiritual body go?
The real question for consideration.
The Bible says you were created in God’s image. Genesis 1:27, “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”
Here’s something else to consider.
John 14:1, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe in me also. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”
The decision to accept Jesus is yours. I cannot decide for you and neither can friends or family. God asks that we each choose for ourselves if we believe.
I look around the world at the various people who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. Isn’t it interesting that many people, both men, and women, weak and strong, rich and poor, and people of all nations, have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior?
How could all those people be wrong about the same thing?
I know it’s scary and you might think you have done too many things for God to accept you now. Jesus paid the price for everyone, no matter who they are or what they have done.
We are all born with a desire deep down inside to know something greater. There is something inside us that cannot be satisfied with everything the world has to offer. That desire is only satisfied when we ask Jesus to come into our heart and the Holy Spirit takes up residence in us.
That longing you have been feeling for something bigger than you have been able to fill all your life is the inner desire for something you cannot produce on your own. Electronics, social media, other people, food, or addictions cannot fill the longing.
Only Jesus can.
