Well folks, good Friday evening!! What an awesome day it has been. God has answered so many prayers today. March 1, while the news is forecasting doom and gloom, our God still sits on the throne and is still answering prayer, even today. Amen? Amen!
Lets pick up where we left off with the Prayer devotional from Student Life camp. I just love their stuff and that’s why I want to share it with you. It’s too good to just keep it to myself.
“We all basic needs like food, water, and shelter and many times it can be difficult to find the difference between these needs and things we want. When Jesus prays, “Give us each day our daily bread.” He is asking the Father to meet those needs day by day. In verse 4 we see that in maintaining one’s relationship with God, there is the need for frequent confession of sins. When we ask for God’s forgiveness, he requires us to also forgive those who have wronged us. We’re reading from Luke 11:1-13 in case you’re just joining us.
Because God forgives us, we need to forgive those who have wronged us.
Who is it that you need to forgive in your own life, and what do you need to ask forgiveness for?”
Let that roll around in your minds for awhile tonight and ask God to reveal the answers to those questions to you.
Father, tonight as we digest what is being said Lord, reveal to us who we need to forgive and what we need to ask forgiveness for tonight. Thank you for providing an example of what to pray and for knowing that we can come to you with this any time, anywhere. You will welcome us and you are pleased when we forgive others and when we ask for forgiveness. May our forgiveness and being forgiven bring you glory. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
In His Service
