I remember days at Disney World. Years ago, I took my young daughter to the Magic Kingdom. Our favorite part of Disney is the parade. It was at the parade that you got to see all the characters at one time. You didn’t have to wait in long lines in the Florida heat to see a couple of characters for a few minutes. Everyone got to see all the characters as they paraded down Main Street.
Today’s verse comes from Revelation 1:7.
“Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen.”
Who will everyone see? Jesus Christ, the one who comes in glory. He came as a servant the first time. Next time he will come as King! Oh, what a glorious sight that will be for believers.
On that glorious day, it will not be the same as finding a spot to watch a parade. To get front row seats at a parade, you need to arrive early. If you don’t, you find yourself standing on your tippy-toes to see what’s coming.
When Jesus comes, everyone will see him, even those who hated and mocked him. All the peoples of the earth will see Jesus.
I hope you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, so when he comes back, your heart will be filled with glee and not fear and dread.
Blessings!
