Verse Of The Day – Love – Happy Valentines Day

I think I will buy myself some pretty flowers. Why not? I like to celebrate Valentine’s Day, too, even though the love of my life is still lost out there somewhere because he won’t stop and ask for directions. Frankly, I passed that bench years ago. The love of my life was never lost, is not lost, and will never be lost. Praise the Lord!

The verse of the day comes from Song of Solomon 1:2-4

“Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth! For your love is better than wine; your anointing oils are fragrant; your name is oil poured out; therefore virgins love you. Draw me after you; let us run.”

I bet your $10 Hallmark card doesn’t say that! And people say the Bible is boring. Welcome to the first romance novel in the Bible.

True love.

Years ago, I found my true love, and I haven’t let him go. I have a wooden sign hanging on my wall that says, “I have found the one my soul desires.” Indeed I have, and there are no plans to let him go. Be still my beating heart.

Feeling alone this Valentine’s Day? You do not have to be if you know the Lord Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior. God so loved the world that he gave his only son, Jesus, so we could have eternal life. What a gift of love!

Every day is Valentine’s Day to me because I love the Lord, and I know without a doubt he loves me. Each day, I thank him for his love, and to show how much I love him, I share his love with others. I hope you do too!

Happy Valentines Day!

Blessings!

The Gospel:

1 Corinthians 15:3-4, “For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received; that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,”
