Verse Of The Day: Pray For Forgiveness

Today we are looking at Scripture on forgiveness. We are instructed to pray for forgiveness of our sins.

Our Scriptures for today comes from the books of Jeremiah, Matthew, Romans, and 1 John.

Jeremiah 29:12-13, “12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

Matthew 11:28-30, “28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Romans 10:13, “13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”[a]

1 John 1:7-9, But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all[a] sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

The Bible has plenty to say about praying for forgiveness of sins.  Check out Psalm 32 and Psalm 51 for more Scripture on forgiveness of sins.

Pray to the Lord and confess your sins today. You’ll be glad you did.

Blessings!
