Life is full of choices every day. You have choices on what kind of mask you will wear, if you will wear one, and where you will wear a mask. Today, we are faced with many choices regarding COVID, masks, and vaccines. Do we gather, or do we quarantine? Do we have COVID or not? Do we get the vaccine or not? It’s a personal decision, in my opinion, one that has to be weighed by every individual. I’m not here to debate all of that.
PPE has been created to protect us from getting the virus. Masks have been mass-produced in all colors, shapes, materials, and sizes. Thank the good Lord we don’t have to force our toddlers to wear them. Tot parents would never be able to go anywhere.
Where are you going with this?
I mention all of this because our verse of the day comes from Acts 4:12.
“And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we can be saved.”
Masks and vaccines are one thing, but salvation is entirely different. Who is the name the Apostle Peter is referring to? Jesus Christ, the Savior of the World.
The gift.
Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins so we could be forgiven and have eternal life. What a gift!
There are many gods in the world today, but there is only one true God, the maker of heaven and earth, who sent his Son into the world as a baby to save sinners. No other god in the world, past, present, or future, has done that for you and me. No other god has given so much for humanity – only the one true God.
Like masks and vaccines, you have a choice. Do you choose Jesus as your Lord and Savior and live eternally with Him in heaven when you leave this round ball, or do you continue to go through this life on your own?
Blessings!
The Gospel:
1 Corinthians 15:3-4, “For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received; that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,”
