Open my Bible
I came home today from work and felt like the Lord was saying to open my Bible to Isaiah 43:25. I couldn’t recall what the passage was, so I sat down and opened my Bible. Smiling, I read the passage I had heard numerous times before.
What does the Bible say?
In case you don’t have it memorized, here’s what it says, “I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and remembers them no more.”
I don’t know about you, but that is great news! My footnote says, “God is eager to forgive and restore his people.”
What sin do you need God to forgive in your life? How can he restore you?
Here’s the thing my friend – you don’t need to walk around with unconfessed sin. Repent, or turn away from that sin, seek forgiveness, and be done with it once and for all. Don’t believe the lies of the enemy who will try to convince you God could never forgive you for “that sin!”
Seek the Lord while he may be found. You don’t need to wait for an appointment or when the church doors open. You can do it now.
The Lord God will blot out your transgressions for his sake.
Father, thank you for wanting to blot out my sins, my transgressions. I thank you for loving me that much. Lord forgive me for the times I have disappointed you. Help me to grow in my faith and to grow more and more like Christ every day. In His name, I pray, Amen.
Now to search my own heart as to why the Lord brought that passage to my mind.
