Do Not Be Shaken By What You See

Do not be shaken by what you see. That’s what I sensed the Holy Spirit was telling me in my quiet time with the Lord last week. Following is what I wrote down during my quiet time. Perhaps there’s something here that will resonate with you as you survey the condition of the land the day after the election, November 4, 2020.

As I repost these Scriptures, we do not have a winner yet.

With that in mind, what do we do?

Stand firm. Psalm 20:8, “They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm.”

Be more afraid of the one who can kill the body and the soul. Matthew 10:28, “Do not be afraid of those who can kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.”

Hold unswervingly to your faith.  1 Peter 5:9, “Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.”

Do not be shaken by what you see.

The Lord will not be defeated. Jeremiah 39:17, “But I will rescue you on that day, declares the Lord; you will not be given into the hands of those you fear.”

Seek the Lord with your whole heart. Deuteronomy 6:5, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.”

Look for him as for gold. Proverbs 21:21, “Whoever pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity, and honor.”

Remove your idols, America. – Leviticus 19:4, “Do not turn to idols or make metal gods for yourselves. I am the Lord your God.”

Do not be shaken by what you see.

The Roman soldier admitted it was the Son of God. Matthew 27:54, “When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, “Surely he was the Son of God!”

We elevated sin, legalized sin, and removed God’s laws. Jeremiah 1:6, “I will pronounce my judgments on my people because of their wickedness in forsaking me, in burning incense to other gods and in worshipping what their hands had made.”

Let me offer you some hope.

Romans 5:5, “And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”

1 Peter 1:3, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”

Psalm 42:5, “Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.”

Jeremiah 32:27, “I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?”

Isaiah 43:11, “I, even I, am the Lord, and apart from me there is no savior.”

Revelation 22:12-13, “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”

Blessings to you!
