The first quarter of 2023 was especially busy for me. Not only did I have the everyday job of 8 to 5, ABA therapy for my grandnephew, a funeral, and everyday life stuff, but I also had another exciting event happen – the newest release of my latest book, A Spiritual Inventory. To date, the reviews have been great and I am so thankful to all who purchased a copy from Amazon. My goal with the book is to bring people closer to Christ and get them thinking about their own spiritual inventory. In other words – what has God done in your life?
Whenever things of this nature take place, the enemy, the devil, gets very uncomfortable and does his best to disrupt things and make them difficult in an effort to get us to quit, give up, back down, and get discouraged. The book release is no exception.
If I had any lingering doubts about whether I made the right choice to release the book, they dissipated pretty quickly when I started seeing the reviews online or in text messages.
I often say God knows exactly what he is doing. The timing of this book was all him. This book wasn’t on my radar. Some of my friends wanted to know how I found time to write a book. My response – in the wee, quiet hours of each day.
God shows himself to us daily, but many times we fail to recognize his presence.
We may face struggles and challenges along the way, but God is faithful to remain. God is faithful to stay with us as we face our biggest fears.
How do you know God is real? Do a spiritual inventory of your life.
When I sat down and inventoried my life, there was no doubt the Lord had been working in and through my life for years. I didn’t recognize the Lord in many of those moments, but looking back now, I can clearly see where he was. Personally, I always want to remember everything the Lord has done. I want my children to know that God is real and he loves us!
I hope you have stories you can share with your family, children, and friends.
Sit down and write out your own spiritual inventory. See if you can recognize where God has been working in and through your life. You may be surprised at what you find. I know I was. God is very real and his presence in our lives is real whether we want to believe it or not.
Your spiritual inventory will look different than mine and that’s ok. God works in our lives according to his purpose so I expect it to look different. The common denominator is the Lord. He never stops working.
In His Service and loving it!
