Memories Of The Way Eggs Were – Part 6

Today, I would like to touch on being obedient. In my previous blog in this series, I mentioned asking people where they stand with Jesus. I said, “I can start asking people about their relationship with Jesus and where they stand.”

If you are joining me for the first time, thank you and welcome. I am glad you are here. You may want to go back and read Part 1 of this miniseries to catch up. Here’s the link.    Memories Of The Way Eggs Were

Here’s a question for you.

Can you name one family member who doesn’t believe in Jesus Christ?

Some of you said you could name more than one family member.

Do you think of them?

Do you? Good.

Now what?

Let’s pray.

Lord, some have already tried, but I pray we muster the courage to speak to them again. Heavenly Father, I pray that when we think of those we love who have not accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior in their lives, we would be obedient to the calling Jesus gave the disciples in Matthew 28. I pray we would gather the courage to speak to them about your Son, Jesus Christ.

Heavenly Father, help us be obedient to the voice of the Holy Spirit, prompting us to pray for lost people. Lord, we pray for these people who are lost. And Lord, I’m sure a few people are reading this who have thought of more than one person they know who doesn’t know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We pray for those people as well. Thank you, Lord, that we can bring those concerns to you today. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.

Final thoughts

I have learned never to give up praying for those who don’t know Jesus as Lord and Savior. We may pray for them for months or even for years to come. The Lord will move; we need only to be obedient and pray.

God can and will do mighty things in our lives and the lives of others. Our job is not to convince them or try to win them over for Christ. Let the power of God work and move. He draws everyone to himself.

If we are obedient in prayer and live our lives to reflect Christ living in us, those still without Christ will see something different in us.

Hold fast to the Savior’s hand as we see this world growing darker by the day.

Jesus is our only hope! He is the way, the truth, and the life.

Blessings,
