Verse Of The Day – Do Not Worship The Beast

I started to title this message “Worship the beast,” but then I asked myself how many would read that and get concerned that I am suggesting they worship the beast. Today, we are going to look at Scripture on the beast, a nonpleasant fellow in the Bible.

Our verse of the day comes from Revelation 13:7-8.

“He was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer them. And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast – all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world.”

Yikes. I hope your name is in the book of life.

I have good news and bad news!

In the event you do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, you need to know that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins, and one day he is coming back for his followers. Those who do not believe in Jesus Christ will deal with the beast as stated above.

Hope

Ask yourself this question – in a nation seemingly gone crazy right now, who is your hope in? The new guy in the big house? The stock market? A forever promised stimulus check? A new vaccine? Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for your sin?

I believe the time is running out, and the Lord is returning soon. Everything is now moving at a record pace, faster than ever before. I cannot think of another time in my life that I have seen such a life-changing speed.

The Bible says in Revelation 22:7, “Behold, I am coming soon! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy in this book.”

God says in Romans 1:20, “For since the creation of the world, God’s invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men have no excuse.

God has made himself known and when Christ returns, men will have no excuse that will pass the test.

I guess my verse of the day turned into verses, but they are all equally important and worth reviewing.

Blessings!
