Verse Of The Day – Not Slow Like We Know Slow

Have you ever been impatient, waiting on someone to move? Why are they so slow? We all have. Maybe you are waiting in a doctor’s office and wondering what is taking so long. Some days seem to move slower than others. It always amazes me how slow time goes by when working but goes by so fast on the weekend. Weekends are never long enough.

Our verse of the day comes from 2 Peter 3:9.

“The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish but that all should reach repentance.”

When I read that verse, I see true love and patience. The Lord loves us and he is patient toward us, not wanting any to perish apart from him.

God’s delay is gracious. I suppose with all that we have done in our lives to displease him, we should be thankful he hasn’t lost patience already but is waiting patiently for us to repent.

What do you need to repent for today? Ask the Lord to show you. Search your heart for any unclean thing in you and repent of it today. We never know what’s going to happen from day to day, so why wait.  Don’t be slow as we know slow.

Blessings!
