2020 – We Need Some Good News

2020 has been an unprecedented year. We could really use some good news.

For many people, including myself, 2020 has been unlike anything you could imagine. It has also been a time of reflection, a time of inventorying what is really important, and a time of searching our hearts. For many, it has been a time of evaluating where things stand and, more importantly, where we stand with the Lord.

Today’s video lesson comes from 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. It is what is commonly referred to as the gospel message.

With one week to go to the most important election of our lifetime, I think it’s important to share the good news of the gospel again.

“You have good news? Finally!”

Yes, I have good news. Jesus Christ is the good news!

At the end of the day, the most important decision you will ever make is not about a candidate, an amendment on the ballot, or who gets the district seat you never heard about.

No. The most important decision is about eternity.

Where will you spend eternity after you die? In Heaven or hell?

Both are real places. Both are opposites of each other. One is quite pleasant and beautiful, and the other is hot and frightening. After living in a hot climate all my life, I can’t imagine spending an eternity in a constant state of heat, hotter than anything I have ever felt before. Heaven gets my vote every time.

We do not know what’s going to happen tomorrow, next week, next month, or next year, but as Jesus instructed the disciples and the same applies to us, we must be watching, waiting, and ready to go. We are not promised tomorrow.

Can you see the signs?

The signs are all around us, and we need to pay attention to them. 2020 has definitely helped me focus on what’s really important. We have experienced life in ways we never imagined. I don’t know anyone who saw this coming when we rang in the new year. We have been moving through this year at breakneck speed—all the more reason to sit up and pay attention to what really matters.

We have good news to share!

Share the good news of Jesus Christ with everyone. Many do not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and now is the time. Today is the day of salvation.

If you know someone who doesn’t know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, now is the time to share the good news – the gospel of Jesus Christ! This video can help you do that.

Be watching. Be waiting. Get ready!

Blessings to you and your family!
