Can I pray for you? You might stop by here on occasion or maybe every day. Regardless, everyone needs prayer. So, I thought today would be a good day to stop and pray for you. I don’t know your background or current situation, struggle, or victory, but the Lord knows. Let’s are living in unprecedented times many of us have never experienced. We need the Lord God to go before us daily, for he is our hope and strength in times of trouble.
Dear Lord, I thank you for who you are. You are mighty, powerful, merciful, graceful, and forgiving. Lord, there is no one like you on all the earth. Father, your plans are bigger and greater than anything our little brains can imagine. I thank you, Lord, for water, air, food to eat, and the ability to create, write, play, and build.
Father, I thank you for sending your Son, Jesus Christ, for dying on the cross for our sin so all who believe can have eternal life. Lord, I thank you for the Holy Spirit who lives in believers. Father, you are a good good Father. I praise you for answered prayers. I know you are a God of miracles. I have seen them in my own life, things I will never forget.
Heavenly Father, I thank you for the person reading this. I know Lord, they have countless other sites they can read, but they chose this one today. Lord, I thank you for the ability to write and pray on their behalf.
Lord, my prayer today for the person reading this is that they will stand tall in the Lord whatever comes their way. I pray they will draw from your strength Father, not their own. Father, help them keep focused on you and their desires for you.
If there is a sickness in their home, I pray for their healing. Should they struggle mentally and emotionally, I pray Lord for clarity. Lord, if it is financial, I pray you show them what to do. Father, if it’s marital issues, Lord, that you would speak to each spouse’s heart and remind them of what it was, they fell in love with initially. Lord, if children are struggling, teenagers rebelling, or whatever it may be, Father, I know that you are capable of all things and can handle whatever they ask of you.
Heavenly Father, I also pray that in those moments when we want to throw in the towel over what has happened, gone wrong, deadlines, pressures, viruses, social distancing, job loss, or whatever else it may be, I pray God we remember you are a Holy God, present and all-knowing, and you are there to help us. We need to ask.
Lastly, Lord, I pray for this country its leadership from the top down. Father, our country is so divided, and I believe the best thing we can do is turn back to you, each person, choosing to love and follow you with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. Lord, strengthen your children for what lies ahead. Father, give us eyes to see, minds to understand, and hearts to love our fellow man. Please help us stay diligent and stand firm in our faith no matter what happens. Your word says in the last days, it will get worse, and I believe I am seeing that truth.
Oh Lord, to you be the glory forever and ever! Father, I pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.
Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)
“6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving”, present your requests to God.“7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
1 Thessalonians 5:17-18 (NIV)
“17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
Before you go: Our site aims to point people to Jesus as best we can. We may not have thousands of followers, but our heart desires to point people to living hope which is only found in Christ Jesus. As the war continues to wage on and threats of more intense fighting move to center stage, please know Jesus Christ is our only hope. We pray you know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior. Many leaders, sites, and shows can guesstimate what happens next, but there is only one who knows what is coming – God.
My friend, the Lord is near and cares for you!
I pray that you have a good day.
