Many things require us to choose. They require us to invest, to take a chance. Often times we choose not knowing what the outcome will be.
There is a very familiar passage in the Bible, one so familiar that when asked, most people recite it without looking. It is often times the most memorized verse in the entire Bible, and carries with it one of the most powerful messages.
John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
You might be asking, “What does that have to do with choice?”
Believing in the son God sent requires we make a choice, a decision. We must choose to believe God sent His son to earth because he loved us. We must choose to believe Jesus Christ is Lord.
What is keeping people from making that choice? It could be for a variety of reasons, each person having their own reason as to why they don’t choose to believe God sent his son to the earth.
As I lay in bed this morning thinking about this message, it came to mind the importance of sharing it. It is so important that people hear the message of a Savior sent to this earth for them. Why? Because if people don’t choose Jesus, they choose a future that leads to the most awful future they can’t even imagine. I care about people enough to share this message. I care enough to point you to Jesus Christ.
People can mock what I do, but they have to be told. The message has to be shared.
All I’m asking folks to do is to think about it. Consider the future and what it really holds for you.
Standing on the Promises of God,
