Purpose – 7 – Colossians 1:19

Colossians 1:19, “For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.”

Do you want to hear some good news today? God has cleared the way for sinners to come to him! How is that you ask? I’m glad you did. The way has been made thru Christ’s death on the cross.  The death on the cross cleared away the sin that keeps us from having a right relationship with our Creator. This is wonderful news my friend.

Now, we must clarify something – this doesn’t mean that everyone has been saved, but that the way has been cleared for anyone who will trust Christ to be saved. So, it requires something of us. It requires action on our part.

Let me ask you a question. Are you separated from the Creator today? Is there distance between you? You can change that today you know by reconciling yourself to God through his son, Jesus Christ. By doing this, we can have peace, be reconciled to God by accepting his son Jesus who died on the cross for our sins. He died on the cross in our place.

It’s not too late. The Savior is waiting to open the door, why don’t you let him come in? “There’s nothing in this world to keep you apart, what is your answer to him? Time after time, he has waited before and now he is waiting again, to see if you’re willing to open the door, oh wont you let him come in? If you’ll take one step toward the savior my friend, you’ll find his arms open wide.”

Whether you have already accepted him or you’re waiting, my prayer is nothing gets in between you and your Creator today. If you’re feeling distant, take the time to correct it today. Don’t wait any longer. Lord, this is my prayer for my friends, near and far, Amen. If you’re not sure how to get there, let me know.
