Welcome! If you are reading this, chances are you, like millions of people worldwide, you have experienced a trial or many trials. I am glad you stopped by because today we are going to look at the hour of trial.
Our verse of the day comes from Revelation 3:10-11.
“Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth. I am coming soon. Hold onto what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”
I don’t know about you, but this passage is an encouragement today. With all that is happening around us and many living in fear and solitude, encouragement from the Lord to hold on is greatly needed.
There seems to be much debate among scholars about what the passage means exactly, especially whether believers will be raptured before the hour of trial or be protected from it while still on earth. But one thing they can agree on is that it is a wonderful promise from the Lord. It’s a promise of Christ’s protection for those who have protected the word by their loving obedience.
Christ is coming soon. We are another day closer to this revelation and promise.
Jesus tells us to hold onto what we have. We must be vigilant because Satan and others can divert you from your loyalty to the Lord and rob you of your crown.
Hold onto the promises of Scripture in God’s Word as you go through trials. Keep your eyes on Him. Hang on to what you have.
Blessings!
