“Every day I share,” says John Maxwell as he taught us the five elements of his Rule of 5.
When I think about sharing, it includes others. I share what I have learned with others, what I have received, and perhaps even what I have heard.
Another way to share is by talking out your thoughts with God, friends, family, or even a counselor. Talking out your thoughts puts the emotion into the thinking.
Sit with people and share your thoughts with them – add value to the thoughts.
They’ll add value to your thoughts because they have different perspectives.
Growth can come from what you share.
So far, I have shared four of the five Rules of 5. To recap, they are:
- Everyday learn
- Everyday reflect
- Everyday write
- Everyday share
“Sometimes you have to do what God gave you to do before you can do what He made you to do.”
Next time we’ll look at the fifth and final rule.
Let’s pray.
Heavenly Father, you are the perfect example for us to look to. Each day is another opportunity to learn from your example of how to love, give, serve, and cherish others. Lord, your word gives us multiple examples of all those verbs, and I am so grateful you loved us enough to send your Son, Jesus, to earth as a living sacrifice. Father, what can we do to give back to you what you so freely gave to us? Thank you, Lord, for your example. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.
In His Arms,
The Teaching Lady
