Memoirs of a wanderer.
I had had painful times in my life when I knew you not.
I was floating around looking for a sign,
but the signs I was seeking weren’t from your time,
they weren’t from your plan.
I didn’t understand they were the enemy, and he was fooling me.
He had me where he wanted me.
I was in a snare, and I could not see that I was lost,
searching around, but the things I found; there was a cost.
I was blind, and I didn’t care.
There had been a plan, a better way,
but I was among the unsaved.
There’s a victory somewhere, and I rejoice because I finally see
that there is victory, and he died for me.
I believed the promises of everything else instead of seeking out the chosen blood that is in the Word. It is God’s Son.
I wasted many years,
lost lots of time,
but I am no longer blind.
There is a victory in Jesus; there is victory; now I am alive.
There is a victory in Jesus; there is victory; now I am alive.
God, I’m alive.
I’m alive, and now I know what I didn’t know before.
You opened my eyes to many doors,
now I can see what I didn’t see before.
There is a victory in Jesus; there is victory; now I am alive.
There is a victory in Jesus; there is victory, no longer blind.
My brother, my sister, I see so clearly.
