Warning – The Shemitah And The Year Of Jubilee

Welcome! I am thankful you stopped by. I have a real treat for you today. Our subject for today is ‘Warning – The Shemitah and the Year of the Jubilee.’ What is happening in America today is worth a deeper dive. It is prudent for us to look beyond the media and politics. In case you haven’t noticed, the media is not the end-all be-all, and politicians are not ultimately in charge. The warning signs are there, but have we missed them?

I have always been fascinated with the Shemitah and the Jubilee, and today, we will look at some uncanny connections that we cannot ignore.

I was cruising through YouTube, and a very recent video from Jonathan Cahn caught my eye. You may not be aware of who Jonathan Cahn is, but he is well known for a couple of popular books, called ‘The Harbinger’ and ‘The Paradigm.’ He recently published ‘The Harbinger 2.’

According to the short biography on the back of one of his books, “Jonathan leads Hope of the World ministries and the Jerusalem Center/Beth Israel, a worship center made up of Jew and Gentile people of all backgrounds, located in Wayne, New Jersey. His teachings are seen on television and radio throughout the nation and are known for their prophetic significance and their revealing of deep mysteries of God’s Word.”

In the video I watched the other day, Jonathan talks about abortion.

I don’t think I have to tell you what a hot topic that is today in the United States. Look at the news, and almost every week, the subjection of abortion is making headlines.

I listened to the whole video and took notes. I then researched the notes on the internet to confirm or deny their accuracy. I found most of the information he referenced in this video. I did not find all of it, so I will only share what I found.

The following are the notes I took from his video. I hope you find them as fascinating and awakening as I did. It is another reminder of how much we need to pay attention to what God is doing and what is happening in our nation.

So let’s dive in and see what Jonathan Cahn had to say.

Forgive me as I have displayed some of them as notes and not formal paragraphs or sentences.

The government has departed from God.

The culture is departing from God.

2020 would be the year of the beginning of great shakings.

The Supreme court overruled Roe vs. Wade in 2022.

Could there be a connection between the plague that came in 2020 and the ruling that just happened in 2022?

Coming off a plague in 2020, with the first Covid-19 case first published on January 21, 2020.

The plague heightened in the middle of March 2020 – the shakings began, and America ground to a halt. (Side note: I remember this because work sent me home in the middle of March 2020, and I became a permanent teleworker.

We in America are replaying the fall or the apostasy of ancient Israel. One of the most egregious sins of Israel was the sin of child sacrifice. It was so dark that it led to the nation’s destruction.

America has partaken in that sin. America has lifted up millions of children, compared to ancient Israels’ thousands. America has led the world in child sacrifice, and God is not mocked. You cannot offer up millions of children and not invoke the judgment of God. He wasn’t silent with ancient Israel, and I don’t believe he will be silent with America.

One of the judgments in ancient days in response to the offering up of children was a pestilence or plague, a disease on the land. The plague that came on America happened when the generation who legalized abortion was coming to an end. Interestingly, the plague took out many senior citizens and spared the youngest. That generation had killed more children than any other in human history.

It gets even more interesting.

New York helped lead America into this sin at the beginning. They crossed a line. On January 22, 2019, New York passed a law making it legal to kill children up to the time of birth. The legislators cheered and celebrated. Governor Cuomo ordered the lighting of the One World Trade Center tower in pink to celebrate the passage of the enhanced bill.

The following year, the plague came, and the first official Covid-19 case was headlined on January 21, 2020. It was the one-year anniversary of the day New York passed the law on abortion up to birth.

Upon coming to the land, the plague focused its fury on New York, and they would suffer the biggest Covid-19 losses, with the highest amount of deaths and people struck with the sickness.

According to the prophet Jeremiah, calamity will return to the place of the killing of children for Israel. For America, New York is known as the abortion capital.

The prophet Jeremiah cried out in his prophecy regarding the killing of children by ancient Israel.

He cried out in that prophecy and said, Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then is there no healing for the wound of my people?” Jeremiah 8:22

Jeremiah was giving voice to a nation under judgment that was seeking healing.

In 2020, America cried out for a cure, and that year a cure came in the form of an emergency vaccine on December 11, 2020, with an FDA-approved non-emergency one on August 23, 2021. The stock market celebrated.

But it turns out the cure was not a cure, like the nation of Israel crying out for the balm of Gilead.

Gilead is the company that produced the leading covid-19 drug, remdesivir.

From their own website, here’s what they say:

Gilead’s Response to COVID-19

“Gilead is focused on deploying our resources and decades of antiviral expertise to help patients and communities fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. As a pioneer and leader in antiviral drug development, Gilead developed the first antiviral drug approved to treat COVID-19 and continues to invest in this medicine and research that will prepare us for emerging pandemic threats.”

Can you see the connection? This points back to the sin of the children.

Our nation did not turn back to God after the horrible attack of 9/11 but hardened its heart and continued to race away from God.

The attack on the twin towers happened in 2001, and the plague we have all come to identify as Covid-19 happened 19 years later, hello Covid19. A shaking fell upon the land 19 years later in the form of a plague. The 19th year was 2020.

Jeremiah said that one of the things that would come in the 19th year was destruction. In Jeremiah 52:12, “In the nineteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon on the seventh day of the fifth month, Nebuzaradan, the king of Babylon’s chief deputy, arrived in Jerusalem. He burned the Temple of God to the ground, went on to the royal palace, and then finished off the city. He burned the whole place down.”

But there is another mystery, the Jubilee.

What is a Jubilee? Jubilee means, “50 years later, what you lost, was restored. But if you took a lamb that belonged to another, in the year of Jubilee, what you took, would be taken from you.”

Abortion on demand actually started in 1970, most prominently in New York. The Jubilee of abortion was 2020, or 50 years from the start of killing babies. We took life, and now life was taken.

According to a New York Times article, New York legalized abortion on demand in two votes, on April 9 and April 10, 1970.

By April 10, 2020, New York had more confirmed cases than any country outside the United States. The peak of the plague in New York was April 10, exactly 50 years to the day.

Another interesting fact

Abortion on demand began in 1970, but it was legalized on January 22, 1973, and we know it as Roe vs. Wade throughout the land.

When will this Jubilee be? When is the 50th year? It actually began on January 22, 2022, and will end on January  22, 2023. We are in the middle of the abortion jubilee. So something would happen.

Fifty years ago, we gave the right to kill children, and 50 years later, it was taken away in the middle of the jubilee year by the reversal of Roe vs. Wade on June 22, 2022.

This year is also the year of the Shemitah.

Shemitah comes from the root word that means – ‘to discontinue, cast down, overturn.’ The Shemitah began September 7, 2021, and ends September 25, 2022.

Roe vs. Wade was overturned and discontinued.

It all happened through a man named Donald Trump. No matter what you think of Donald, it happened due to his appointing three supreme court justices. And although many people don’t think Trump is a godly man, God is sovereign. God will use who he will use.

Jehu of 2 Kings overturned the worship of Baal. The worship of Baal involved the sacrifice of children. The actions of Jehu brought the sacrifice of children to an end. The actions of Trump, the modern-day Jehu, brought the overturning of the killing of children through his nomination of three supreme court justices. Trump was a “Jehu” to America.

Check this out.

The key was the day Trump opened his mouth and nominated the last supreme court justice, Amy Coney-Barrett. But that only happened because of something else.

On September 18, 2020, a very liberal supreme court justice was removed by death. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who was Jewish, died that day. It happened on the Hebrew holiday known as the Feast of Trumpets. That begins a time of returning, of coming back and undoing what you have done. That event set the stage for the overturning of abortion.

On September 26, 2020, Donald Trump nominated Amy Coney-Barrett. This day on the Hebrew calendar is known as Shabbat Shuva, which began September 25, 2020, and ended September 26, 2020. This day is about turning back and returning. The next day was Yom Kippur. Yom Kippur is known as the holiest day of the year, a time of atonement and repentance.

14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

Will this be the catalyst to turn America around?

Jonathan Cahn believes the only thing that can save America now is revival.

What is impossible with man is not impossible with God.

The times are dark, but we have the honor of standing with the Messiah. Yes, the darkness is great, but our God is greater. He remains seated on the throne, and he is never finished, and he is not getting off the throne.

Since the day of the supreme court ruling, unfortunately, we are seeing the president, vice president, and many under them executing laws that continue the practice of abortion in the name of healthcare.

Is God silent and sitting back, ignoring what many are insisting continue?

I don’t think so, and if a plague came on the 50th anniversary of abortion on demand in 2020, are we naive to think God will not cast another judgment for the refusal to heed his Word? If anything, I would be very concerned. One need not get comfortable thinking God will wait another 50 years before passing judgment on this topic.

Many thoughts swirl around in my head when I look at the things Jonathan Cahn brings to light. You may discount them as unbelievable. I researched this stuff online and found articles backing up these dates. I also searched the Scriptures regarding Jeremiah and Jehu.

God does not change.

As I mentioned before, God did not approve of the sacrifice of children to Baal or Molech (another false god, children were sacrificed too), and I don’t believe he approves of what is happening now. That is not me saying it; it is what God’s Word says. I’m reading what he wrote.

What is scary to me is the forward, purposeful movement, no matter the cost, to continue the practice in any way possible.

Everyone has to make their own decision about how to move forward regarding abortion. Abortion is not the only thing God dislikes. We will face the Lord on judgment day about what we did and didn’t do in our lives.

Romans 2:5, But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed.”

As I finish today’s topic, one of the passages that come to mind is the teaching from Jesus found in Matthew 7:13-14.

13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate, and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”

Always be looking for the narrow gate. Just because everyone else is doing it doesn’t mean it is the right thing. Just because a majority agrees on something doesn’t mean it is correct.

We are just a few months away from ending 2022. We are about a little over a month before the Shemitah year ends and the new seven-year period starts. Tensions are escalating, and whatever you think about the above or what is happening, it would benefit you greatly if you drew closer to the Lord each day. Confess your sins, fears, needs, and adoration to the Lord. Don’t be caught unaware, unprepared, or doing something ungodly when the Lord comes back.

God tried to warn the people.

God sent the Israelites prophet after prophet with warnings and instructions to turn back to God before it was too late, and many ignored those warnings, paying the price for their stubbornness.

God is giving us warnings now and asking us to turn back to him. You and I can’t turn a whole country around or change what happens in Washington, or anywhere else, but we can be sure we are doing everything we can to make sure we are right with God. We can control ourselves, but not others.

What will you do to strengthen your relationship with the Lord? In what areas are you struggling? Confess them to the Lord and ask him for his help.

Blessings,
