Talking Tools – A Creative Way To Share Jesus – 2

Great day! Let’s pick up where we left off. We continue to honor a dear friend, the late Lynn Latham, Missionary Evangelism Director of the North American Missionary and sister in Christ. As I mentioned in my previous blog, Lynn loved to use “Talking Tools,” and I was blessed to receive a copy of the brochure that outlines the various talking tools missionaries use to share the Word of God with others.

Let’s look at the rest of the examples from the brochure. We had a great time looking at the various ideas in Part 1 of “Talking Tools – A Creative Way to Share Jesus With Others.” If you are joining us for the first time, check out Part 1. There are some great ideas. Talking Tools – Part 1

Lights: Item – night light, flashlight

Bible Scripture: “For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness, has made us understand that it is the brightness of His glory that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ.” 2 Corinthians 4:6

Needle: Item- sewing kit

Bible Scripture: “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.” Matthew 19:24

Tape measure: Item – tape measure

Bible Scripture: “Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.” Romans 12:3b

Tissues: Item – tissue pack

Bible Scripture: “For you, O Lord, have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling.” Psalm 116:8

Umbrella: Item – an umbrella from the dollar store

Bible Scripture: “It will be a shelter and shade from the heat of the day, and a refuge and hiding place from the storm and rain.” Isaiah 4:6

Water: Item – water bottle

Bible Scripture: “Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:13-14

And there you have it – talking tools that are easy and fun to make and share with others. As a reminder, you get the item listed, print off or write the Bible verse, attach it and hand it out. As mentioned previously, you can share them in restaurants, coffee shops, gas stations, and other stores. You never know when the Word of God will touch someone’s heart.

You might be reading this, and it has stirred some ideas of your own. That’s great!

People need to hear the good news of Jesus Christ – a message of love.

Let’s pray.

Father, I thank you for Lynn Latham’s life and her love and dedication for the Gospel. Thank you, Lord, for all the years she ministered to women in group homes, bars, and strip clubs. Lord, I thank you that she went without reservation. Father, please help us grow more boldly in our faith, step out of our comfort zone, and minister to a dying world. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.

Blessings!
